Staff Information

Effective  June 29th, 2020, the staff screening process for COVID-19 symptoms will change.

It remains extremely important for all staff to adhere to the Public Health guidance and restrictions regarding COVID-19, including the requirement for all staff to assess their health on a daily basis to ensure they are healthy and fit to work.

The New Process replaces point of entry screening for staff at health care facilities with a requirement for staff to complete a self-screening questionnaire before reporting to work. Random point of entry screening will continue to be conducted at the discretion of site operators.

Staff will be required to complete the following steps for each shift:

Before staff leave home prior to every shift, staff are asked to comply with the initiative for daily self-screening according the self-screening tool found at the Main Floor Screening Station Cart.

When you arrive at the work site, you will be asked to sign a Self-Screening Sign In/Declaration.

By signing this document, you affirm that you have completed the Self-Screening Tool prior to arriving at work and you are healthy and fit to be at work.

Random audits will be completed by Supervisors/Managers to ensure compliance with self-screening and declaration.

Site leadership will be monitoring these audits carefully.  If there is increased COVID-19 activity, the number of random audits will increase to ensure we keep our Staff and Residents safe.
